Left Speaker in Iphone 4 not working since 4.1 update

anyone else having this issue the right side is working fine but if u cover the right side nothing comes out of the left side..

Imac, iOS 4

What problem? If you'd read the very thread you posted in, you'd know there IS no second speaker on the bottom of any iPhone, including the iPhone 7.

The iphone only has ONE speaker, the left side is a microphone:

There is only one speaker! Always has been. The other grille at the bottom is the mic. When you cover the right hand one you are muffling the only speaker.

i wonder why everyone is getting confused about the iphone having 2 speakers. is it mis-interpreted somewhere that the iphone has stereo speakers? or is everyone confusing stereo output with stereo speakers, the former being via headphones?

that's probably sound from the right speaker which is housed next to the mic, so some sound would come out of the mic hole as well.

You guys are sure the iphone 4 is not suppose to have two speakers.. because my 3gs never had that issue

In your original post you said nothing was coming out of the left side.....

Wjosten has posted a screenshot form the user manual which makes it clear which is the speaker and which is the mic.
