Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPad because

I synched my Ipad with my windows computer today using Itunes and it deleted four movies from my Ipad saying they were not authorized on my computer. They were all installed as digital copies, has disney started expiring digital copies or something? The exact message I get is:

Somee of the items in the iTunes library, including "Monsters, Inc.", were not copies to the iPad "Edward's iPad" because you are not authorized for them on this computer.

I did what they suggested authorizing the computer, it made no difference. These movies were copied to iTunes from the original DVDs included with the movies. The only reason I can see that they would no longer be authorized is Disney and at least one other studio "expired" them. They were working fine on both the iPad and the computer before today, though I haven't synched since July because I was out of the country for over a month.

Any ideas?

I am having the exact same problem. I contacted Apple about it via email and they sent me back this long thing about how those files are not available in Canada anymore and that I should remember to always back up my files and sorry that they are gone but there is nothing they can do.

As I still HAVE the files on my computer, I think whoever was addressing my problem didn't have a clue what I was talking about.

I'm having the same issue as well. I purchased three movies through iTunes on the iPad. When I synched the iPad, only one movie remained and the other two say I'm not authorized. What the heck? I purchased them on the iPad, why would the iPad no longer be authorized to play them?

After many angry emails from me and about a month past, I finally ground them down to reset my movies so that I could download new copies of them. Hopefully this doesn't happen again because that was a rediculous waste of my time for their programs mistake.

I have a similar issue. Yesterday I bought a movie from the iTunes store. This morning when I try to transfer the movie to the iPad, it gives me the error: "The Princes Bride" was not copied to the iPad "Louise's iPad" because you are not authorized for it on this computer. Why does it give me this error? I never connected my iPad to any computer but this one? This is MY laptop! Help!

Ok, This is because I'm a newbie, and what I did not know is that i had to "authorize my computer" by going to iTunes >> Store >> Authorize this computer and then log in...
Wow... I'm a little embarrassed...
