iTunes 10 isn't recognizing my password at all and I don't know why. I used the same email and password that I use every single day but I get an error message. I bought a game on my iPhone with my password 45 mins ago then I went on my macbook to buy a song and thats when I got the error message. I sync'd my iPhone and now my iPhone isn't recognizing my password either. Does any one know why this is happening? Please help.
I have the same problem from my iPad - though the apple id and password works on the forum here - and a friend reported a very similar issue with his iPad and trying to download a new app on Sunday --- looks like there could be some sort of systems issue, but haven't yet been able to find any details!
It would be nice if Apple had a widget to tell us if iTunes is up or down instead of leaving us guessing. But for what it's worth, I am also unable to download apps at the current time. My error is of the 2001 variety. As in : Could not purchase "". An unknown error occured (2001).
I am having the same problem as of this morning (22nd Sep 2010)...I can not buy songs or update apps on my computers or iphone...very annoying. They will have to fix this fix as it will surely eat into profits if nobody is able to give them money.
