That is just an ad, not a an actual device. Buy one and see if it has FaceTime.

That image means absolutely nothing. It's an advertisement. It didn't come from Apple.

Debating the point is not going to magically make facetime appear on a phone sold (legitimately) in KSA or UAE. It won't happen. Accept reality and move on with life.

You're missing the point.  The fact that something happens doesn't mean that it's not a violation of some regulation or law or import or export, etcetera.

    A) iOS devices with FaceTime are not intended for retail sale in Saudi Arabia.  That means those devices are grey market items.

    B) Apple will not honor a warranty on a grey-market item.

And if they bought them in Saudi Arabia, then they won't ever get warranty service from Apple.  It's just that simple.

We're not saying that you CANNOT purchase that device there.  We're saying that you SHOULDN'T, if you want to have a warranty on the device.

Are they using Facetime with the wireless providers in KSA?  No, they are not.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937

This article CLEARLY shows that Facetime is not a supported feature of the three wireless providers in KSA: Mobily, STC Saudi, Zain

If they are using Facetime, it is with a Wi-Fi connection, not over cellular with those three companies.

Do we have common sense?  Yes.  We can read an FAQ on this very website.  We know not to purchase grey-market items that will have no warranty coverage.  We know not to spend more than the fair market price for a device.  We know to be patient and wait until we can purchase a device from an authorized retailer of that device, so we don't run into warranty issues later on.

This is common sense.  Trying to argue a point that has been proven to you to be WRONG, multiple times, even with supporting links from the very company that MAKES the device... that's a lack of common sense.

facetime icon on it and some models dont have that facetime icon..

Because the iDevices with the FaceTime icon are grey market imports and not Apple authorized to be sold in KSA.

Doesn't matter, really.  Your original comment was about why it didn't have facetime. "I recently purchased ip5 and ipad mini there is no facetime indicated in the box but i noticed that some of the models have facetime indicated in the box but they sell only in a higher price"

Your question was answered.  The version with Facetime are grey-market imports.  They are not designated for sale in that country.  The retailer is charging a higher price because they can.  It's called the law of supply & demand.

Then you began to argue about whether or not Facetime models were supposed to be in KSA.  We demonstrated to you, that per the KSA wireless carriers's  and Apple's policy, they are not.

Those models are not supposed to be there.  Low supply and high demand equal higher prices.

Does that answer your query?  I mean, what was the point of your original post? To argue against a point that's already been proven for almost three years?

im ok now with that but still confuses me why they are letting to sell those devices which said under the regulation law so meaning that this regulation law has no specific or not just as serious..
