Welcome to Apple Discussions!

http://www.apple.com/batteries/ may have a solution.

These links may also have a solution:

Otherwise, you may need a new power adapter or battery*:

Furthermore Boot Camp running Windows 7 may need a newer firmware to more accurately read hardware. Ask in the Boot Camp forum. My references only refer to Mac OS X based readings from either prebundled discs, or newer Apple nonsystem specific installation. So it could be you are reading the battery from a bad Windows install. Check the Boot Camp forum to verify this.

it is easy to fake a new box if you keep all the material.
no such thing as a hardware virus. If two operating systems show the same problem, then the hardware is damaged and either needs repair with the one year hardware warranty that comes with every Mac, one year from purchase from any authorized dealer, or with AppleCare if purchased during that one year, or out of pocket.
You can call AppleCare and lookup the serial number to determine the warranty status. Sorry, but eBay is not new.

I'm having a very similar problem. My macbook is showing 100% - Battery Charged, Power Source: Power Adapter. It keeps saying that until the battery dies, doesn't give me the reserve battery warning. It's been like this for a few days now, even when I've plugged and unplugged it multiple times. I was hoping it would somehow reset, but no luck. The battery meter on the side of the laptop seems to show the correct battery level, however.

And saying that this isn't a real problem, but is a problem with a 'bootleg' laptop isn't really advice, it's an avoidance of giving advice. My laptop was delivered straight from Apple and I'm having the same issue.
