RAM Upgrade - Mid 2010 iMac 21.5" : max. RAM

Hello,

I want simply know how much memory the Mid 2010 iMac 21.5 inch supports.

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3918?viewlocale=en_US says max. 16 GB
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4255?viewlocale=en_US says max. 16 GB
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3011 says max. 16 GB

vs.

Apple Store (while configuring the iMac) says max. 8 GB
Apple Hotline says max. 8 GB

iMac Core i3 3.2 GHz (mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Sorry, typo, above that should read that they have supported 16 GB.

You can mix the RAM. It is best if the two side by side slots have matching RAM. You could put in 12 GB (2 x 2 GB + 2 x 4 GB)
