Same Wireless keyboard for iPad and iMac

Can I easily and quickly use a wireless keyboard on a Ipad & a Imac? I can pair them but can't
connect them. KST

iMAC Intel, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

I have to tell my Mac to let go of the keyboard before I can pair it to the iPad.

Tamara is right. You typically have to unpair (disconnect, forget) a blutooth device from one item before it will pair and work to another item.

You can pair the keyboard to multiple devices. For example, my keyboard is paired to my Mac, iPad and iPhone.

You can only use the keyboard with one device at a time. This means you have to "disconnect" not "un-pair" the keyboard from a device before "connecting" it to another device.
