Device Error (0x73,0x03.)

Device Error (0x73,0x03.)

DVDSP failed to author my DVD giving me the "device error (0x73,0x03.)" message.
I have the Pioneer DVD-RW, DVR-112D.

Any suggestions?

Try burning a simple data DVD. If that works, you can eliminate the burner as the problem.

BTW, what brand of media are you using?

Thanks for your post. I had a problem with a Data burn also. I got Error, sense code=0x21,0x02, buffer under-run.

I'm using Sony DVD-Rs which are burning fine on my laptop.

Does this sound like I need to bring the burner to the shop?

I'd try a DVD lens cleaner first ... if it fails after that, it would probably be cheaper to replace it than to pay for service.
