Safari's not a text editor, so it's not clear what you're wanting to do. See http://xml.software.informer.com/download-xml-reader-for-mac/ for starters.

I would like to be able to see a XML file as XML in Safari.

Being new to Safari & Mac - I am not sure if this capability is built in or there is some sort of add-in required.

I followed the previous link and it appeared that the tools were for reading RSS feeds - not just displaying XML as XML.

Thanks for clarifying. I've not seen any XML add-on for Safari, nor am I aware of any site that posts in XML. Good luck on your quest.
