Can we have the Genius sidebar back please iTunes 10.0.1?

Once again a useful (to me) tool, the Genius sidebar, has been replaced with a useless (to me) one, the Ping sidebar. There seems to be no way to select which sidebar we want to use. I do not, and will not use Ping...its sidebar in iTunes 10.0.1 is a complete waste of space for me. Yes I kow I can hide the Ping sidebar and I have already doen so, but it would be really nice if I could get the Genius sidebar back.

I still have Genius in my sidebar.

Are you sure you don't have it unchecked in iTunes>Preferences>General

do you mean on the left side of iTunes, Matt ?

i think the OP means the Genius sidebar on the right which has been replaced by the Ping sidebar since iTunes 10.0.1.

Yes yes yes!

Ping Sidebar looks terrible and is pointless. Give us at least the OPTION to use the Genius Sidebar again to FIND MUSIC. I don't care what Katy Perry is doing on Ping.

OK...I also posted in feedback, but you know what...other bloggers read these forums too, and if they see tons of people saying that they're not happy with this latest move by Apple, it will spread around the net. That will also bring pressure on Apple to fix this lame change.

I will buy less music from iTunes without the Genius sidebar. I guess that goes for lots of people. That means that the sales will be impacted and Apple will soon get the Genius sidebar back again!

I agree!!!!!!! I just updated iTunes and was appalled to see ping instead of the awesome genius sidebar. I get apple is trying to promote this new things of their's, whatever it's supposed to be... but seriously? ughhhh. I realize no one from apple is going to read this, and I have already submitted my complaint to them, but I just needed to express how irritating this is to me.

Anyone who believes that iTunes/Apple/Mac devs do not read these forums is in a some sort of convoluted, freaky dream state.
