How to get rid of the "Ping" button next to every selected or playing song

Title says it all. The arrow buttons were annoying, but manageable. Now, in iTunes 10.0.0.1, there's a stupid Ping button next to every song that is selected or playing. I've never once even click on the Ping button under iTunes Store, nor will I ever.

I love iTunes 10, but not being able to disable this built-in social networking crap is just going too far. It really makes me hate what iTunes is becoming If I want online social networking, I'll get on Facebook. Please Apple, give us a way to disable the "Ping" button next to songs.
