iTunes fails to sync Outlook Calendar

Ever since iTunes 9, I've never been able to sync my Outlook calendar. Notes and contacts sync fine (after 9.1).

I had to resort to using the Exchange server at work to sync my calendar, but that will not be an option in a few weeks time.

I was originaly using Outlook 2007 on a Windows Vista computer. I have recently moved to a new computer with Windows 7 (64 bit) and Outlook 2010, with the same result.

I have created new users, started with a blank computer, and still I can't transfer my calendar to my iPod Touch 3G.

My iPod was purchased to replace my old iPaq, but until I can transfer my calendar, the iPod has to be left at home as a worthless piece of junk. I had planned on purchasing an iPhone, but don't see much point if I can't use the calendar.

I have even tried iTunes 10, but that just corrupted the hard drive, leaving me to reformat and reinstall everything again, so I am currently using 9.2.1.5.

I have read about the same problem, but with the beta version of Office 2010. I have the full commercial version, which should be fully working! I assume I am the only person to have this problem since I can't find anyone else with the same problem.

I have uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled, created a new user with a new and blank calendar and still I can't sync any entries I add.

Please can anybody help?

Seriously. Is there a solution to this problem? Does anyone from Apple read these threads? This is surely not that isolated an incident that it deserves no response at all!!? I've deleted all my contacts and calendar from Outlook and still no joy. I understand the problem relates to itunes and not Outlook as outlook is 'passive' during a synchronisation.

My iphone is pretty redundant if I can't sync contacts and calendar. ***!!!?
