Prepare for hard drive format

What are some of the steps I need follow or perform when I'm going to format my hard drive and then re-install Windows 7 so that I can regain all my settings including songs, photos, apps., and ringtones etc.? Currently all my photos, musics, applications, ringtones and so on are on a separate drive. However, the problem is when restoring. I've lost a bunch of apps last time I had to format my hard drive and reinstall Windows.

You're welcome.

On your computer's boot drive, check within the iTunes named folder for a Mobile Applications folder. Look in the Mobile Applications folder to see if your apps are available in this folder.

If so, I would copy the iTunes named folder on your computer's boot drive for your computer's backup.

After reformatting your computer's boot drive and re-installing Windows, place the iTunes named folder with the Mobile Applications folder that includes your applications back in the same location. You will also need to re-select your iTunes Media Folder location where it is currently located on the separate drive for your iTunes music, movies, tv shows, etc., or verify the location on the separate drive which is done under the Advanced tab for your iTunes preferences.
