How to change country for safari?

I recently moved from the UK to Australia. Since coming to Australia I have purchased a new IPhone4 and have updated my UK ITunes account and billing information to Australia. However the phone still seems to think that I am based in the UK, for example it uses google.co.uk instead of google.com. How can I ensure that the phone believes I am in Australia?

Welcome to the discussions,
did you already reset your settings in Settings/general/reset/Reset all settings?
and change the country in Settings/General/country settings?

Thank you for the suggestions.
I have reset all the settings.
However I do not have a country settings option, but do have location services and international neither of which appear to let me specify what country I am in.

Further suggestions welcomed!

What about your time zone settings? Are they set to Australia or a major city next to you by choosing "Set the time and date manually" in settings/general/date&time?
