Basic Apple TV questions

1. Will the new Apple TV work using my Airport Express wireless router?

2. Can shows be browsed and purchased using the TV screen or do I have to do everything on the computer and then just view shows on the TV screen?

3. If I have a Netflix account, can I stream movies and TV shows direct from Netflix website?

I'm pretty up on technology and networking but I'm still a bit confused as to how this thing works.
I'm moving to a new place soon and considering dropping the Time Warner Cable and just using this to watch the few programs I really enjoy watching.

Thanks for any input.

It's a streaming media player with 16 GB of flash memory for caching streaming content. There is no syncing.

I doubt you'll find enough content to replace cable TV. Despite the hype about TV show rentals, there isn't much available in that category at present, and you won't be seeing any NBC shows available for rental until the soon-to-be-fired CEO of NBC becomes the former CEO of NBC.

I can't answer any of the specifics (others already have), but I dropped pay-TV 18 months ago and bought an Apple TV earlier this year to get access to a few shows that weren't available immediately in any other format (Mad Men, for example).

If you only are really interested in a few shows, and they're available on iTunes or Amazon, then an Apple TV will do you just fine. I also do Netflix and have a Roku box. I don't mind watching most things a year out of date.
