New Apple TV, Bose Lifestyle 30, Samsung TV - HDMI dilemma

Greetings. I'd like to ask the advice of the community.

I have a Bose Lifestyle 30, Dish network HD & DVR Receiver, Samsung Blu Ray, old Apple TV, and a Samsung LCD flat TV. As it stands now everything goes through the Bose. The ATV routes into the Aux input via component cables. The new ATV will be arriving Thursday and I'm wondering how best to configure the system. The Bose only has 2 HDMI inmputs, currently holding the Dish and the Blu Ray.

I tweeted about it and Bose replied that I should move the Dish receiver to component because it will have the same quality (?) and put new ATV in the Dish's place. Others have said to use a switch.

The TV has multiple HDMIs - I am routing the BOSE through HDMI1 to the TV. Any advice would be appreciated.

Since you area already using the two hdmi inputs on the Bose, you may have to connect the new Apple TV directly to the TV. This will feed the video and audio signal to the TV (sound through the TV speakers). If you wish to get the sound through your Bose, you will need to connect the optical audio output from the ATV to an optical input into the BOSE.

If your TV already feeds audio BACK to the Bose, that should be sufficient.

If none of that works, you may need to get an HDMI switcher from Monoprice.com
