Iphone 3g keeps searching for service??

My Refurbished Iphone 3g keeps going from full bars with 3g to searching almost 10 times a day. I've gone to get a new SIM card with no luck of it stopping. I have restored several times. What do I do to fix this? Please help!?

me problem, still looking for an answer.

Try turning of 3G in settings, it goes slow, but it makes mine reliable.

I have been having the exact same issue for almost 6 months. Spent umpteen hours dealing with Bell and Apple and no good fix -- Apple even gave me a new phone and it is still not working. Frustrating!
