Add me too. My home button problems didn't seem to coincide with any software updates, they just started happening. 2 or 3 times a day, my single clicks register as double clicks, which brings up the task bar. Every now and then, my double clicks register as single clicks. And the weirdest one is that sometimes my phone registers the click but doesn't do anything. For example, I'm in an app, I click once, nothing happens. I single click again and the phone goes to the home screen and then it immediately goes to the search screen. It's like it saves the first click for later. Incredibly irritating, especially given my history with iPhone 4 so far.....
1st iPhone 4: WiFi problems-->had to have it replaced
2nd iPhone 4: dead pixel-->had to have it replaced
3rd iPhone 4: had very obvious cosmetic damage (big chunk taken out of the antenna band) that I didn't notice until I got it home and then developed gyroscope issues where the screen orientation would lock up and force me to have to reboot the phone.
4th iPhone 4: I hate to admit, I dropped it and shattered the screen--had to have that one replaced. Of course, I do not blame this on Apple.
5th iPhone 4: The one I have now. Was working flawlessly until this home button thing popped up.
This is the first Apple product I have ever owned and I am unbelievably frustrated with it. Apple has been (mostly) cool about all my exchanges, but that doesn't mean it's any fun for me to have to keep going into the Apple store. I have an appointment for Thursday morning and I just know I won't be able to recreate the problem while I'm there. I also know they are sick of me coming in to complain about my hardware. What they don't understand is that I'm sick of having to restore my phones and start all over every time just knowing that the new phone will develop some other crazy issue.
VERY angry about this.
