Unable to locate the following external devices HDV (1440 X 1080) 24p60i

Hello All;
When I selected Easy Setup ProRes and then started a new sequence, I keep getting the message "Unable to locate the following external devices HDV (1440 X 1080) 24p60i". I am given the choice of either continuing or checking again. How do I prevent this message from coming up ? The only external devices I have connected are a mouse, and a portable external hard drive.

Also, ever since I did the Easy Setup, I have been unable to bring up the Export to Compressor. It seems to open because I get a list of commands at the top of the screen but no where do I see any pop-up screens as i used to. Anone know what the reason could be ? I am unable to export using the compressor.

If you are using an earlier version you may find it in Final Cut Pro>User Preferences>General where you can deselect "Show A/V warning".

Is this a custom preset? What capture and device control settings are you using?

Did you try trashing your preferences?

Sorry, it should be:-

Final Cut Pro>Audio/Video Settings>A/V Devices and select "Do not show External A/V Device Warning . . . . . "

Are you serious? Have you maybe considered checking the box at the bottom of that warning dialog that says "Do not warn again"?

Hello All;
Of course, I saw that checkbox at the bottom of the window saying "Do not warn again". I never received this message before and was concerned that something wasn't set right. I didn't want to eliminate the pop-up without trying to understand why it was being displayed in the first place.

I thought it may be related to my problem with the compressor not working because both happened at the same time.

The primary focus of your question was how to prevent that warning box from coming up.

It is doubtful your Compressor problem is related. Try reinstalling Compressor. It sounds like A) you deleted your user preferences, and B) Compressor was damaged or moved.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'll try reinstalling compressor but unfortunately, I left the sotware at home so i need to wait until tonight to try. What a bummer.
