How to sync Windows Live Mail in Win 7 platform to iPhone 4?

Hi,

I guess many people have asked this before. But I search Apple discussions but cannot find an answer.

I put my contacts inside Windows Live Mail in my Windows 7. Start iTunes, select my iPhone 4 and click "Info" tab. Do all the right things to try to pull Live Mail's contact into my iPhone 4, unsuccessful.

Does anyone know how to do this?

I don't see an option for syncing contacts with Windows Live Mail under the Info tab for my iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. I see an option for syncing contacts with Yahoo Address Book, with Google Contacts, and with a supported address book application on my computer, but not with Windows Live Mail.

Do you have your Windows Live Contacts available in Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010, or with the address book application used by Windows Mail called Windows Contacts?

No. I do not have Outlook.

I checked other forums and learned that iTunes can sync Outlook contacts with IPhone 4.

Outlook is not free. I use Windows Live Mail as my mail client. Just want to know if contacts sync between iPhone 4 and Windows Live Mail in Win 7 is working or not.

For Yahoo mail and Gmail, I do not want my contacts info stored in Yahoo and Gmail due to privacy.

You don't need Outlook to sync contacts. You do have Windows Contacts available which is a supported address book application for syncing contacts with the iPhone.

Windows Live Mail is not an email client. Windows Live Mail is an email account that can be accessed via webmail access using a browser or with an email client such as with Outlook or Windows Mail on a PC.

You use a Microsoft product - Windows Live Mail and you are worried about privacy?

No, this is not supported. You can export your Windows Live Mail contacts from your Windows Live Mail online address book for import into the Windows Contacts address book application on your PC which is supported for syncing contacts with your iPhone.
