Two identical 16GB iPod nano 6Gs -- iTunes reports different capacities!?!?

I have two identical iPod nano 6Gs -- same color, both 16GB, both formatted for Mac, everything -- yet iTunes reports the capacity of one at 14.98GB and the other at 14.89GB! What's the explanation for this? Why am I being cheated out of .11GB (~110MB -- not insignificant storage space) on one of 'em?

27" Core i7 iMac / 8GB RAM / 1TB HDD, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Check your math.

You are being cheated out of .089GB or 89MB

I realized that after I clicked "Post Message." But hey, thanks for your extremely helpful post!

By the way, since we're now having math lessons, I'm pretty sure that 14.98 - 14.89 = 0.09, not, as you kindly suggested, .089.
