Itunes lockup

Since updating to the latest itunes, everytime I hook up my ipod touch, itunes completely locks up during sync. First tried to restore. Had to do that at another computer because that didn't work. After doing that, still locks up during sync. Can't get anything back on my ipod. First apple product had for a little over a month. Not looking good at buying anymore. Help.
