4th generation Ipod Touch - cannot get it out of shuffle

Hello ackwms,

While a song is playing, tap the artwork for the song to bring up additional controls.

Look for this symbol in the upper right hand portion of the screen. !http://www.applecart.co.za/ipodshuffle/images/indexshuffleicon_20070130.jpg!

It will more than likely be blue. Go ahead and tap it once and it should turn gray. This should turn off shuffling. Any luck there?

if Planb77's suggestions don't work for you, and you really are having a software issue with your Touch, you might want to try this:

settings>general>reset>reset all settings.

this should reset your shuffle settings (sadly along with everything else).
