No sure which model Mitsubishi you have but my Mitsubishi model # WS65813 has a DVI connection that Im using. So it's HDMI from ATV to DVI to your TV for video and Optical audio out from ATV to Audio receiver for audio. Here's the cable you need for video (much cheaper than a converter).

I am using HDMI to DVI cable and I am experiencing flicker on the border of the TV. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Would switching HDMI to component solve this problem?

I am having the same issue with my Mitusbishi rear-projection 1080i with the DVI input. The picture is somewhat fuzzy and wavy. HD-DVD, Blu-Ray, DirecTV, & Mac Mini all look VERY sharp on the TV.

Are you using the Apple TV 2 with your WS 65813? I have a WS 55813 and an original Apple TV and was thinking of getting the New Apple TV but was wondering if they work together.

I have the same problem, only component outs on my projection tv, its a mitsu as well. so this seems like my only solution

This statement IS SIMPLY UNTRUE !

My NEC 42" Plasma has a single DVI input... I bought the Belkin HDMI to DVI cable from Apple Store and AppleTV 2 - works just fine (1080i) I also run a Toslink Digital Audio cable from AppleTV 2 to my AV Receiver (Yamaha) to obtain Dolby 5.1.

I understand that not all HDMI-DVI Video cables are compliant to AppleTV 2 requirement for HDMI v1.3c
