Iron Man 2 digital copy problem

I just purchased Iron Man 2 Blu-Ray with digital copy. Put the digital copy disk in my iMac. When prompted by iTunes I entered the code from the insert.

"This code has already been used. Each code may be used only once."

I've never had a problem with a digital copy import before. Is this a common problem? And who do I have to contact to try and prove that I just bought the disk and haven't used the code before?

iMac 27" Core i5 Winter 2009, Mac OS X (10.5.6), iTunes 10.0.1 (22)

I found a page at Paramount to deal with digital copy issues. We'll see if they resolve the problem.

I still wonder how often this occurs. Are they mis-printing the inserts (duplicates) or are the codes leaked or worse, are the codes easily generated. (It is a short code, the hash to create it can't be too complicated.)

I have a problem with the iron man 2 disk too but a little different. I put the disk in the computer drive and select digital copy from the menu and it tells me to put the disk with the digital copy in the drive. This disk in the computer is clearly marked as containg the digital copy. So I figure it a menu issue so I get it to the screen where I see transfer the digital copy but then it tells me it cannot find "dss authenticate".

Blu Ray Combo Pack - My problem is that my PC laptop and Mac laptop can't read the DVD/Digital Copy disk. My PC has better results in that it can see the contents of the disk but still cannot play the movie or access the digital copy. Already returned the disk 2 times and still the same issue with all 3 copies I got.

Also, if your Auth. code doesn't work, you'll get your replies with new codes within a few hours. If you're getting an iTunes 8288 error for dirty or damaged discs, the reply and the fix will be delayed. The issue is being investigated, and it seems like there's an issue with Apple's server. People using the WMV version of Digital Copy are not experiencing this error. Please be patient, meanwhile. Cheers!

I've returned the Blu-Ray DVDDigital Copy back 3 times so far, contacted Paramount regarding the issue and they keep sending me the download code (they have sent me 3 so far). I keep emailing them back and they keep sending more codes. How can I use the codes if the stupid DVD doesn't WORK so I can get my digital copy?!?!

Apple - Not our problem
Paramount - Idiots who don't want to fix the problem
Wal-Mart - We can exchange it for you

I got this answer on line

Hello,

If the launcher isn’t working properly for you, you can also copy the movie files directly from the DVD. They are located in the WMV folder on the Digital Copy disc. Double-clicking on the either file should launch a window to enter your authorization code, or to begin playback of the movie if you have already successfully entered it. You can also drag and drop the files to your hard disk in your folder of choice after you successfully authenticate them. They should play without needing the disc.

Thanks!

As much as I hate to see you guys going through this, I'm not gonna lie, it's nice to know I'm not the only one with this issue. I literally JUST bought this movie like 5 min ago from Wal-Mart, fixed me a glass of soda, sat down, flipped opened my laptop, opened the movie, stuck the disc in, and BAM! "This code as already been used. Each code can only be used once." This just adds to an already bad week for me..I got in a car wreck sunday night, some guy ran a red light...So I'm out of a car. So yeah..haha...not a good week for me..
