Sending (force) queued mail in Out box

Sometimes when I am on a wireless network which is weak (occasionally interrupted), an e-mail that I send doesn't make it to the SMTP server and gets put into the Out mailbox.

How do I then force the message to be "sent" without either exiting mail and restarting it or just waiting for it to "passively" decide on its own to ship it to the SMTP server.

I have not been able to find this ANYWHERE in the Mail help. There must be a way. Sometimes I'm in a real rush to get it sent out and I really don't want to exit asnd/or sit around.

Thanks,
OEK

That's what I would think too. But if the mail is in the Out box, there is no "Send" icon available. Maybe I'm just becoming blind in my old age.

Ooooops, I just realized that by actually OPENING that e-mail, a "Send" icon DOES become visible. So that would work.

Thanks Steve. Let the saga continue....

Let me qualify my question now. How would you then send a SERIES of e-mails that are queued up in your Out box WITHOUT actually opening each one and sending each one individually?

Any takers? It would seem that this would be an important feature if you compose alot of your e-mails offline, "send" them and then connect up to a network and need it to actually REALLY send them. Am I asking for too much.
I find this really annoying, because I would expect this to be a really important feature that should be explained in the help - but it ISN'T.

Once again, if I am missing something obvious, PLEASE..... somebody hit me over the head with it.

Thanks,
OEK

I haven't been able to test this, but you should be able to highlight one of the sent-but-unsent messages (you don't need to open it, and this should work in the case of single messages, too) and press SHIFT-APPLE-D. That should send or resend the selected message. I don't believe you can do this for multiple messages at once, so you'd have to repeat the SHIFT-APPLE-D for each.

Good luck
