How do I uninstall TuneUp?

When I open my iTunes, Tune Up is "attached" to the right side of the window. I must have allowed this somehow, but not sure that is what I did.

How do I uninstall TuneUp?

I use itunes only for getting apps to my iPhone and only have a few favorite tunes in my library. Album covers and art work do not interest me on either machine. For me PING holds no interest and will never use.

I trashed it and kept getting a message "in use" but finally got rid of it. Hope any bits and pieces in the system were also removed.

You should inquire at -> http://www.tuneupmedia.com/
Sounds like it adds some "hook" into iTunes so simply deleting it is likely not the correct way to remove it.

To uninstall:

Home Folder > Library > Application Support > TuneUp_Support > TuneUp_Uninstaller

The fix above won't work for me
I can get as far as
Home Folder > Library > Application Support >

there is no TuneUp_Support > TuneUp_Uninstaller

any help would be greatly appreciated

Try the library folder inside your user folder...

/USERS/YOUR USER/LIBRARY/APPLICATION SUPPORT/TUNEUP_SUPPORT

Like Pat, I'm having trouble finding the TuneUp Installer so I can get rid of it, but none of the suggestions in this thread work for me. I've tried looking in all the folders listed above--no TuneUp files. And the only file that shows up when I search my computer is the actual application. I swear it's hidden itself so I can't uninstall the stupid thing.

Please help.

Finally found the uninstall file thanks to this forum, but when I ran it it produced an error to the effect that it could not find a 'bundle' file at /users/username/library/itunes/itunes plug-ins/tuneup/...
I found the file was there though, so I deleted it. Now Tuneup doesn't load with iTunes. Problem solved. Not the cleanest method I know, but it worked.

The path to TuneUp's uninstaller may have changed. To uninstall, execute "applet" from this folder:

/Applications/TuneUp.app/Contents/Resources/tuUninstaller/TuneUp_Uninstaller.app /Contents/MacOS

If you haven't accepted the license agreement yet, this uninstall script will pop up tons of errors for non-existent folders. Click through them all. It will work.

okay it took mw a while to find it, i am running OS X Lion, and i went to the user file, then applications. You cannot delete TuneUp from launchpad, but if you go to the applications folder and drag to trash it will delete all its files

Yes you can. Go to Launchpad and click and hold on any icon until they wiggle then click the X in the corner of the icon to delete from Launchpad.
