Delete unwanted email addresses???

How do you delete unwanted email addresses??
I go to compose a new email and type addresses in there and there are a few that are wrong and unwanted. How do I get rid of them?
I do not want to backup and restore my iPhone 4 I dont have time for it.
Please help

They're resyncing from your Mac. When you send an email from your Mac, it remembers the adress, even if you don't add it to a contact. Open mail on your Mac, type the first few letters of the erroneous or unwanted recipient, and you'll see what I mean.

I have gotten rid of addresses like those in the past on my Mac, and they disappear from my iPhone, too. I can't remember the exact way to delete them on my Mac at the moment, but that's the way to do it.

There are some that resolved themselves like that. Click on the right side of the email and hit the option to erase the email from the recent used list. But there are also email addresses that I've only entered on the iPhone. They don't show up in Mail.
