Delete unwanted email addresses???

I get rid of them?

The ONLY WAY, currently, to remove this data from your phone is to restore your phone as a "NEW" device in itunes, followed by syncing your itunes content back to your phone. You have to decide if its worth going through all of that or just living with it.

OS X's own mail account permits the deleting of these unwanted addresses & the iphone essentially runs a slimmed down version of OS X.

I have tried deleting these stuck email addresses by doing a full restore but that doesn't work.

They're resyncing from your Mac. When you send an email from your Mac, it remembers the adress, even if you don't add it to a contact. Open mail on your Mac, type the first few letters of the erroneous or unwanted recipient, and you'll see what I mean.

I have gotten rid of addresses like those in the past on my Mac, and they disappear from my iPhone, too. I can't remember the exact way to delete them on my Mac at the moment, but that's the way to do it.

There are some that resolved themselves like that. Click on the right side of the email and hit the option to erase the email from the recent used list. But there are also email addresses that I've only entered on the iPhone. They don't show up in Mail.

Or, in mail, choose 'Window' from the menu bar. Choose 'Previous Recipients' from the drop down list, and delete invalid or unwanted addresses.

This 'feature' is supposed to be useful, but I'd prefer that mail not remember addresses unless I ask it to or add them to a contact.
