iTunes email scam?

I just received an emailed "receipt" for over $400 in iTunes purchases that I never made. I don't see these charges on my actual iTunes account - but should I be concerned? Or is this just a pure scam? Should I delete the email and forget about it? Or is it something to cause concern..?

Any advice would be appreciated...

I've gotten the same email 3 times...and in every one of them whoever sent it has a terrible concept of how an order total should usually match or be more than the subtotal. This didn't even make sense....

I mean apparently in one I bought something for 11.99 which then subtotaled to 174.99 and then add on the $0 tax and it all equals 48.99.

The second one is 45.99 which subtotaled to 193.99 and then add on the $0 tax and you get 883.99.

Then the third one is 547.99 which subtotaled to 845.99, then add on the $0 tax and you get 588.99.

Smart....real smart.

Yes I have just received 3 invoice emails with a credible looking iTunes receipt, for $973, $824, and $195. None are mine. I called apple customer care who promised to contact me but still have not. Does anyone know the correct apple iTunes email to forward these scam emails to? somebody at the apple empire should at least be investigating some of them.
Thx

Hi – I just posted about this but in the completely wrong section. Whoops!

I have also received several ITunes “receipts” in my spam folder that show separate transactions to the tune of $874.99, $193.99 and $944.99. Of course, I haven’t purchased or been charged for them but wanted to forward them onto wherever / whoever they should go so it can be looked into further.

My reason for posting was to ask if there’s an email address I could forward them onto and I’ve just clocked the “Reportphishing@apple.com” that someone kindly posted.

I’ll send them over now. Dodgy sods aren’t they? They actually look quite legit!

It is good advice to always use a service like Spamex.com and HideMyAss.com when creating any account or joining any group. I received the same Itunes scam email but it was addressed to a different email address then I use for Itunes account. I supply each group or site I log on to with a specific and unique address like ItunesBuyer@Spamex.com(example) while using HideMyAss.com to screen my IP address supplying each group with a different geographic location.

Security should be your first concern.
