How do I setup a 2nd hand iPod touch?

hiya everyone

i have just purchased an ipod touch 8gb. ive never owned onebefore so dont know what im doing.

it is a second hand one and still has all the other guys information on it, including his pictures, music and apps.

when i connected it to my itunes on my computer it said it was already connected to another libray which is the other guys.

i dont know what to do. i would like to keep the apps that are already on the ipod.

should i just reset the whole thing? will that make it as though it is a new unused ipod? or do i just changs things

as i sed above ive never had an ipod or iphone so dont know what i am doing or anything and am realy comfused on what to do. it didnt come with an instruction book or anything, all i got was the ipod as he hadnt got any of the stuff that came with it.

please help me

You cannot legally keep those apps, as they were licensed only to the iPod's original owner. In addition, without access to the iTunes Store account through which the apps were purchased, you could not update them, or re-download them if necessary. You need to do a restore on the iPod, so that it goes back to factory-fresh condition, and then sync your own content to it. For instructions, see:
