HDMI Handshake problems every 20 - 30 minutes - Color Inversion Issue

Dear all,

I used the old ATV for a long time and never had problems with it. Yesterday my new ATV 2 arrived. The setup was very easy but after a few minutes a problem with HDMI Handshake occurred and repeats at least every 20-30 minutes:

I get a green screen for one or two seconds and then the picture appears again with some kind of inverted colors.

I use a Philips 40 inch 7664 LED LCD with the newest firmware installed.

Any idea what I could to to fix this issue?

IOS 4.3 has just been released for the other devices, I'm downloading it to my iPhone 4 now. Unfortunately no update for the Apple TV yet. Hopefully they will release it by the 11th and are just staggering the releases. But it is a bit ominous that they have ignored the Apple TV again. 😟

Update: My mistake apparently, some web sites say the apple tv is updated to 4.2 but my unit cant find the update?

Just hit Update several times, it will work. Mine did.

Downloaded the update, and still have the issue on my Sony KDL-37S500 Bravia. However there does seem to be more options under Audio / Video which I don't recall, switching between RGB modes, they don't seem to make much difference, the TV is still flicking modes every so often.

Just downloaded the update and tried the first of the 3 new settings under HDMI. Hopefully one will work. Fingers crossed!

Download and testing now with HDMI Output set to "RGB High" - as some beta testers stated on another board (avforums.com)

After the upgrade to 4.3 iphone 4 decided to check the availability of an update for Apple TV.
A TV has found renewal and I was delighted. Updated, rebooted
In the setting of writing version 4.2 ((((((

The problem with the green screen yet in force ((((

Since everything works fine with 4.3 beta 2, I haven't installed the update so far.

But there is something to choose HDMI output settings in this version, right?
I chose RGB High and never had the pink/green-problem again.

The occasional flicker/twitching of the TV is still there, but the colours stay put. I'm using RGB High setting...

I restored my Apple TV 2 with the new firmware and I have no problems with the reversal of colors, my TV is a Philips 37 " 37PFL8404.
Now work fine 🙂

With 4.3 my Sony kdlbx32 now works good!!

I was running Beta 4.3.2, couldn't get update ("Apple TV up to date") so I plugged into itunes, and did restore and update, worked fine. I have Philips 9704.
In the Audio Video menu, set HDMI to RGB High, and all is good!

About time, but worth keeping the faith. Great product!

With the new firmware no problem after two hours of playing in a sony KDL 26S5550.

I just have 4.3 into my new Apple tv. I have a tv philips 32pfl5604h/12 and... Doesn't fix the problem.
I still have a Green screen each 20 or 30 minutes.
