Nov 22, 2010 11:58 AM in response to Cmay1by steve_acp,VERY disappointing....No Change!
They have had the benefit of the doubt, time for some public slagging.
I was talking to a UK design engineer from Panasonic today, they test thoroughly for this kind of thing, problems like this are sloppy QA. Shame on you Apple. -

Nov 22, 2010 1:22 PM in response to Cmay1by dadudeness,@cmay1: You should restart (unplug the power cord) the ATV after the update is done. Afterwards I'm pretty sure it'll connect to your wifi -
Nov 22, 2010 1:31 PM in response to Arcade99by Bentley Robinson,Well sadly after the update, still NO solution to this problem.
Apple don't seem interested, they have taken our money and the sub-standard product does not work with TVs from at least two major TV manufacturers. They have not given any creditable advice on this problem, despite the fact that they know about it. I got a phone call from a guy at apple when I first reported the problem just after launch. We went through various tests and then he replaced it. He contacted me and e-mailed me several times. After I got the replacement, I waited a couple of weeks and then sent him an update e-mail, advising that the problem was still there. Absolutely no reply since.
Pretty poor customer service. they have launched a sub-standard product that fails to do its job and they appear to have wiped their hands of it. -

Nov 23, 2010 12:53 AM in response to Arcade99by Marcus Schmahl,Here the same
problem is NOT solved. i think now we have to wait until summer, for the next iOS update - or better for the next generation ATV3...
PLEASE write or phone with apple support! otherwise we won't see any solution! -
Nov 23, 2010 1:38 AM in response to Marcus Schmahlby Chill1977,I won't be waiting, I'll be taking it back.
Never had this issue with the original ATV, this is sloppy at best and not what we expect from Apple.
