Now we have to wait for the official release and the other IOS update to fully experience the Airplay video sharing features with the ATV. -

The first one, that I get the message "Unkown videoformat (translated)" after switching the hdmi input to apple tv, seems to be gone.
The second one I experienced is, that after about 5 minutes, Apple TV gets black for about 2-3 seconds. After the first appearance, it never occurs again. Just after the first few minutes... -
Feb 6, 2011 12:33 PMby keeweex,Same problem as the rest of you describe with a 40" Sony Bravia; tried swopping leads and HDMI sockets but same problem with downloaded content in particular. Wouldn't mind but sold my whole DVD collection and now I can't watch a movie without getting up and unplugging and re-plugging the HDMI lead. Roll on the software update or this baby will have to go back and I'll try a different device - shame neat little bit of kit. -

I wouldn't buy a new piece of hardware when it looks like the problem is close to being solved. A lot of people have reported that the problem goes away when they install the beta of the next Apple TV update.
