iPhone isn't recognised as a camera device, but DOES appear in iTunes

Evening, I have an issue with getting photos/videos off from my iPhone 4.

Everything syncs perfectly fine in iTunes, contacts, music, apps ect. "Kayo's iPhone" pops up and away it goes.

However, it not appearing in *My Computer as a camera device* for me to remove photos from. The Apple Mobile Device USB Driver (found in device manager) is installed correctly and working fine. I've been able to tether, no issues there.

But under 'Computer Management > Device Manager > Other Devices > iPhone' it displays the little yellow triangle warning icon thingy, to advise that drivers are not installed correctly or the device is not operating properly.

Have tried right click > 'update driver software' with no luck. In properties the device status error is:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

I have read a few other forums that say you need to remove all other foreign photos that my not be recognised by the laptop and may cause this issue. I have removed all emailed/mms'd/saved/wallpapers/screenshots/edited in Photoshop for iPhone app and ect. The only photos/vids remaining were taken with this handset. Rebooted laptop and iPhone, no changes... I even deleted old photos that had transfered over from the iPhone 3GS from when I upgraded about a month ago.

I have the latest iOS, I have the latest iTunes, I have the latest windows updates. Where am I going wrong? How do I get the silly thing to recognise as a camera???? Where do I find the drivers? Have searched but not found anything helpful. Am I stuck because I have Win7?? How do the iPhone drivers initially get installed to the computer?

Has anyone else had this issue? I've been able to use Dropbox to get a few photos off, but they can only be selected one at a time. Would much prefer to just drag and drop - especially some big videos that I can't email (and dropbox crashes when I try to sync them)

Have tried to 'Add new Device' - nothing shows up in the list.
Have also checked Autoplay for devices - nothing shows up in the list.

Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Cheers, Kayo

I had the same problem and after 3 weeks of searching found a post that said you need Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N and Windows 7 KN (KB968211)
The URL below has this. Once I had installed this I could see my iphone camera roll.
