imovies hd

Question

imovies hd

im trying to reinstall imovies 4, but when installing with my ilife cd, it will only let me install imovies hd. i found imovies 4 a much better user system for editing and would very much like it back

mac mini, Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Hi tommy - if you type 're-installing iMovie 4' into the search box you will get several links to discussions on the subject. You must of course have the iLife 4 disk.

I just did it, or rather overdid it. I searched for all iMovie files on my hard drive and moved them into a folder on my desktop. Then I custom installed iMovie 4 from the original iLife -04 DVD. I then went to this site
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/imovieformacosx.html
and upgraded to 4.0.1
Once this was all done I was able to do the av to dv conversion using my sony DCR-HC42
Kind of a nuisance, but it works.
Hope Apple is reading all these complaints and fixes iMovie HD.
