Stop iPhoto from opening when iPhone connected

Hi,
I recently bought a new iPhone and a new MacBook, however, I am having a bit of trouble. Whenever I connect the iPhone to the MacBook, iPhoto opens and wants to transfer my download the photos from my iPhone. It gets annoying as I have to wait for iPhoto to completely open and then quit it evertime i connect the phone.

Is there a way I can prevent this, ie not have my MacBook treat my iPhone as a camera?

Thanks.

Iphoto sees your phone as a camera. As long as you have pics in your camera roll, it will open, if under preferences you've selected iphoto or image capture to open if a digital camera is connected. If you still want iphoto to open when a camera, other than your phone, is connected, import the pics from your iphone camera roll.

Oh alright,

Follow these steps:

Plug in your iPhone.
Launch Image Capture from our Applications folder
Select your iPhone once it shows up under devices
Look at the lower bottom pane where you'll see "Connecting this iPhone opens"
Set this preference to "No application"

Let me know if you run into any problems performing these steps.
