Camera Connection Kit- Micro SD adapter

I recently bought an iPad camera connection kit to find it doesn't work with my micro SD and adapter as it says it would. I only have JPEG's on the card. Do you have any suggestions?

Can you plug the camera directly into the adapter via a usb cable or plug a card reader into the adaptor.
That's what I do with my canon 5d, which uses a compact flash card.

The iPad will only import videos and photos under the following conditions:
- the file format is supported by the iPad
- The card is formated in either Fat 16 or 32
- There is a folder titled DCIM in the root directory of the card
- the video/photo files are in that DCIM folder

Are you getting a message on the iPad when you tied?
