Oct 3, 2010 10:34 AM in response to Moondragonby Alejandro Grigera,I don't know much about uploading FCP prjects to FCS but I can tell you that FCS always upload files to his own devices. This means that the folder where the media files are located have to be a FCS device, that way you probably won't need to cpy them. That's a nice solution if you are working on an XSAN and you have your editor connected to the XSAN via Fiber Channel.

Oct 4, 2010 3:52 AM in response to Alejandro Grigeraby Vitali,Indeed.
You can set up a scan response on your capture directory and it will bring all the assets into Final Cut Server without moving them. As an example of a such set up, ready Drew Tucker's book, page 33.
Please tell us more about your environment. How is your Final Cut Server set up? -
Oct 7, 2010 7:47 AM in response to Vitaliby RicM,This has me confused also. I have a Final Cut Project with lot's of video, still images etc. What is the best way to get the project and all it's assets into FCPServer? The project currently sits on an external hardrive. I would like to bring it onto my FCPS and the internal hardrives that the server is equipped. I would then erase the external drive and start to use as archive when project is finished. -
