How to import MP3 files from ITunes

Hello,
I am new with Mac and GarageBand (GarageBand'09-5.1)
How can I import, from my iTunes library, a mp3 files in GarageBand, to use it.

You can drag files directly from the iTunes window into GB's timeline (the big empty area). Alternatively, press cmx-R in iTunes to show the file in the Finder and drag it into iTunes.

Thanks for your answer; but unfortunately I did not succed to put my mp3.file from iTunes in GB and to hear it .
I will try once more further.

I would suggest by starting with a Loop. When your project is up look at the bottom right of your screen. There are 3 buttons. The one of the far right is a Music note and film frames. Wen you click on it, you should see your entire itunes library. You can search through it or type into the search bar to narrow your search. Click and drag into the project area.
