Draging Audio files into Garage Band to edit

I cant get more than 3 mins of my audio files to play . Im dragging from Itunes and once imported only run for 3 mins...??? Does anyone know something Idon't

PowerBk G4, Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Can you explain that in detail? Does the imported region end at 3 minutes, or does GB just stop do play in the middle of the track? Do you get any error msg?

Ok... I drag an audio mpeg file into GB - the audio file is approx 1hr of talk time. It loads and appears as an orange bar 5 mm wide. i paess play and it runs for 3 min and stops like its the end of the track ?? ve also converted to AIFF and imported it, but then I get the whole track running at double speed ??

A few things here.

First, at the default setting, you can not play 1 hour of anything in GB

Next, though it should set itself, make sure the End Of Song (EoS) marker is dragged as far as it will go to the right (measure 999)

Oops, I forgot, the EoS marker is the little purple left facing triangle at the top of the timeline. --Hang
