Question

After Sync Revert and Apply buttons appear even though I haven't made chang

iPhone 4. I have two of them. This just started last week, and it only happens on one of them. Restored from backup, and restored to factory settings and it still does this:

I sync daily. I have some daily podcasts that get updated. Every time I sync the one phone, when it's done, the button in the lower right corner that says "Sync" changes to two buttons that say "Revert" and "Apply". If I click revert it lets me out. If I click apply, it syncs again, and then has both the "Revert" and "Apply" buttons. If I navigate to another tab in iTunes, it says "You have changed the settings for iPhone "My iPhone". Would you like to apply these changes?" with "Apply" and "Don't Apply" buttons. The thing is that I have NOT changed any settings in any tab on this iPhone. This also coincided last week with the sync duplicating some of my contacts (I synced with Yahoo! Contacts) (to the point where I had 10 copies of some) and deleting other contacts. I restored to factory settings, I switched to Google contacts and that stopped the duplication/deletion of contacts, but it still asks me if I want to revert/apply changes that I have not made?

What's going on with this??

Macbook Pro, Windows 7, iTunes 10.0.1

I'm also experiencing the same thing. This does NOT happen on my iMac, but it does on my laptop with Windows 7. Both have the newest version of iTunes.

Currently I press the <Apply> button after each synchronization...

This continues to happen with me as well:
Windows XP - Latest updates
iPhone 3GS - Latest IOS
iTunes - Latest

When IOS 4 came out, I wiped the phone and started from scratch.

I have ZERO belief that if I wipe the phone again, this problem will be solved.

*** apple? Why can you not get this working, or at least shed some light on the problem so technical people could try some troubleshooting.

I have the same issue. It began with my 3GS some time around september-october I believe. I purchased an iPhone 4 in November and it does the exact same thing. I did restore my iPhone 4 to a backup from my 3GS when I got it. I have the latest versions of iTunes/iOS. Ok now my iTunes library is on my laptop with 32-bit Windows 7 Pro. I have moved my library from a machine running 32-bit windows xp pro to the laptop running 32-bit windows 7 pro. So I'm wondering if possibly either restoring from a backup, or moving my library has had anything to do with it. Just trying to figure this out...

Apple. ***!?!? Get on this. I am an avid podcast listener and I sync daily to keep my podcasts fresh. I already have to physically connect my iPhone to the computer because iOS doesn't support wireless syncing. But now on top of that I have to hit cancel or apply after EVERY TIME I sync my iPhone. Not the biggest deal in the world. But a huge inconvenience and annoyance. Apple usually prides themselves on the fact that their products "just work". Well Apple, my iPhone 4 DOES NOT "just work".

I am also having this issue,it also says I have changed the settings on my iphone, I haven't changed anything, after every sync the sync button changes from "Sync" to "Revert" or "Apply"

has a fix not been found yet?

I am running the latest iPhone OS, latest iTunes, Windows 7 Home Premium.

MacBook Pro 8,3
Mac OS X 10.6.6
iTunes 10.2.1

At first I thought it was since I upgraded my MacBook Pro, but it has been going on for some time before that as well.

I have also been experiencing this same problem with my iPhone 3GS syncing with ITunes on Windows 7. It started a few weeks ago after I moved the location of my iTunes library. I have managed to fix it by first clicking the Apply button then right-clicking on the iPhone in the Devices list in iTunes and selecting Reset Warnings from the context menu. Now when I click Sync I don't get the Revert and Apply buttons. I hope this may help some of you too.

I have also been experiencing this same problem with my iPhone 4, it was driving me crazy syncing with ITunes on Windows 7. It started a couple months ago after I moved the location of my iTunes library and had to rebuild it after setting up and replacing with a new computer. I have also managed to fix it for now,(like eddy_boy did), by first clicking the Apply button then right-clicking on the iPhone in the Devices list in iTunes and selecting Reset Warnings from the pop up menu. You may get the warning about send info to iTunes to help troubleshoot, click "No Thanks" and now when I click Sync I don't get the Revert and Apply buttons anymore. I hope this may help some of you too.

The reset warnings tip helped for me. In addition to hitting reset warnings, I had to eject my iPhone 4, once I reconnected it I was presented with sync and all went back to smooth sailing.
