Q: Is anyone actually using FCServer to manage a feature film?

If so I need to talk to you... I just can't figure out how to make FCSvr work with my 2 TB of footage and hundreds of assets.

every time I create a production folder and drag-and-drop my FCP Project file o it and hit UPLOAD to start my asset creation, the FCP Project asset become orphaned or says it has unlinked assets...

I've reinstalled FCSvr 3 times and the same thing happen each time

FCP7 I presume?

It could be any of a number of things, perhaps something to do with your devices and/or permissions.

Permissions...

How are you set up, server/client, single machine system? What is your Device set to, internal hdd, external RAID, NAS? Are you on Ethernet or XSAN?
