3G Signup Verify Address

Hello,

I've had my iPad 64GB 3G+WiFi for almost a month now and I would like to sign up for the 3G service. I fill out all the info on my iPad, using my PO Box as my billing address (no mail delivery in my town, everyone gets PO Boxes), and using my physical street address as my service address.

I hit next and it keeps asking me to verify the street address I have entered for my service address. I tried typing it in as "Ave" at the end as well as "Avenue" but it doesn't seem to make a difference. It just keeps asking me to verify my service address when I am certain it's correct (I know where I live, thank you very much!).

What do I do?

If you only have po box delivery your street address will never be accepted as I've been told it uses the PO database to verify addresses. The work around I used was to change my billing address on the credit card to a known street delivery address then switch it back after registration. I used my in-laws. A better way is to find out the street address of your post office and change your cc billing address temporarily to that. The way I did it, often location services go by the number that was assigned to my account and that's in California not Hawaii. That's when I am on 3G not wifi.

maliu, thank you for the response. I don't think I explained my problem correctly:

Billing Address goes through just fine, but because it's a PO Box, I have to separately enter my Service Address, which the form tells me is my physical street address. It's this Service Address that is the issue. Apple/AT&T is not recognizing my street address and so the form keeps asking me to verify my address when the information I put in is obviously correct.

Should I try entering my office address as my service address instead?

I figured it out. I just entered my office address as my service address and it worked. I am typing this post on my iPad using only 3G. 🙂
