Package Maker 3.0.4 compression

Hi all,

I'm a fairly seasoned user of PackageMaker.

I'm using PackageMaker 3.0.4 for the first time to create an mpkg installer to install a set of audio plug-ins.

Everything's working fine, apart from the fact that PackageMaker doesn't carry out any compression on the resultant package.

Am I missing something? I'm sure the previous versions of PM had a "compress archive" option.

Actually, I rebuilt the project from the ground-up and this time the compression kicked in (installer now 170MB instead of 800MB!).

Only difference was that, this time, I didn't change the Package Identifier strings.

Another PackageMaker bug?

I've found the problem...

I didn't realise that when you set the Scripts directory that it copies everything in that directory into the Package Resources! My scripts were in the same dir as the Package payload so it was including multiple copies of the files.

D'oh!!
