85W or 60W?

Hi - first post on here. I frazzled my MBP (bought in January 2010 2.26ghz model) last week with spilt beer 😟
I have ordered the new 2.4 ghz version from eBay - only problem is that it is coming with a US plug (Im taking this up with the seller as they didnt say this in the listing). Of course I have my old MBP power adaptor but Ive noticed the new MBP is 85W magsafe and I think the old one is 60W.
Question is - will the old UK plug and cable fit into the new power adaptor and will it work ok?

Check the version that the eBay one has (assuming you get it). If the price is too much look at some options here*:

Warning, MacBook Pros on eBay frequently are fraud prone purchases. Be very careful. A seller rating can be fibbed. So I hope you were careful to only buy with your own credit card, and not Paypal, or other method, or have setup a proper escrow service that is well known. Ideally see the person face to face whom you are purchasing from. See more tips here:

You might be safer trying to get your machine fixed at a place like:

Good luck.
