ios4.1 broke my bluetooth data transfer in BMW

I updated my iphone to 4.1 on 9/16... since then, I can still use bluetooth to use the microphone and in-car speakers - but no address book, recently dialed, recently received, etc.

Is there a way to go back to 4.0? Any help appreciated. Thanks
