Sep 25, 2014 2:02 AM in response to anneravenby Schmrtzzz,Triggered by the message from cutemisanthrope (love that nickname) I tried to sync a memo. And it worked, just like that! I didn't even check the box 'Sync memo's. Could it be they fixed this bug finally? There are two changes: I have iOS 8 installed and I now have an iPhone 6 (but I find it hard to believe it was a hardware problem). I'd like to hear from others if it works for them now too. In other words: if it's reliable now and I can go back to using the Apple app.

Sep 25, 2014 6:48 AM in response to Schmrtzzzby Schmrtzzz,Have to get back on my former post. Soon after I managed to sync two memo's, the syncing stopped altogether. All 52 GB of the music on my phone disappeared, at the same time the phone said there was not only 52 GB of music on my phone but also 52 GB of 'Other' stuff, iTunes kept hanging in the syncing proces and other crazy things happened. I'm now factory restoring my iPhone 6. I can't say these two are related but iOS8 appears to be very very buggy. So be careful.

Oct 2, 2014 12:22 AM in response to Schmrtzzzby Schmrtzzz,Well, my iTunes and iPhone are syncing music again. It was probalby caused by a corrupted library (iTunes had placed movies in my Music folder). Now they're syncing great. Even voice memo's. Yes! Two changes: I now have an iPhone 6 and I'm (of course) running iOS8. Is there a bug fix list of iOS 8? Is our problem mentioned there?

Nov 10, 2014 10:34 PM in response to anneravenby geshenli,There are many ways you can save your voice memos to your computer, If you have a few voice files, you can send them to your computer by E-mails, it's very convenient, but if you have large number of voice files, you may need some app, iPubsoft iPhone iPad iPod to Computer Transfer is I used, it works. The way to transfer iphone voice memeos

Nov 17, 2014 3:04 AM in response to anneravenby djtrev,I just had this problem today, with iOS 8.1.
I had a 1hr 14 minute voice memo that would not sync. I had already given it a name.
I just changed the name to something else, and it synced.
I can't believe the bug is still here since iOS 4.x

Jan 9, 2015 3:58 AM in response to anneravenby nimai_pandit,- I have "sync only checked songs and videos" checked (in the summary tab of the device).
- have "include voice memos" checked in music tab of device.
this works but don't know why.
- i kept unplugging it. quiting iTunes. opening. unplugging. making test recordings. deleted all the voice memos. then made a few more tests and now it seems to work with the settings above.
I also have iMazing which allows me to move the voice memos. but I just think it should work as it should. but then again perhaps something is corrupted on my device—which could be true. I had other syncing issues. but it seems to be working now —
- Sometimes we need to mess around and delete and make test recordings etc. It's part of the process. Making test recordings and deleting and renaming them—that's what I did.

Jan 30, 2015 7:39 AM in response to anneravenby cherylfromthestl,I found a solution that has worked so far. I converted the original Voice Memo .m4a file to a .mp3 file. This not only allowed me to name it what I wanted to name it, I was able to change the genre to what I wanted, was able to create a smart playlist and it uploaded into that playlist on my phone.

Feb 16, 2015 2:46 PM in response to anneravenby mcmjuly,I FINALLY FIGURED THIS OUT AFTER 3 DAYS OF TRYING EVERYTHING! I hope this works for someone who is having difficulty getting their voice memos to show up in iTunes. SOME of my memos were showing up and some were not. I tried every suggestion here and none worked. Something dawned on me from a web dev class I once took....the name of the memo. I had them named like Feb 5....REMOVE THE SPACE and rename to Feb5
WORKED like a charm. I renamed all memos removing any spaces ...voila....they are now in itunes (after syncing of course). Oh, BTW, I hate Apple after this experience....I see an android in my future.

I just changed the genre of the file and then it synced over.
1. Connect your iphone to your computer
2. Let itunes perform a sync of your phone
3. Go to the phone details and go to "On this iPhone" (on the right side)
4. On the left side choose the Voice Memos playlist
5. After you locate your memo, right-click on it and choose "Get Info"
6. Click on the Info tab and change the Genre at the bottom (I changed it from Voice Memo to Other)
7. Perform a sync to move the voice memo over to itunes
Note: I did notice an extra copy of the voice memo showing in the list on my iPhone. This only appeared in itunes however. It may just be a ghost image, not sure what impact it will have on things later.
This did not work for me. iPhone 5S with iOS 8.
HELP!

This did not work for me either.
I have both "Include Voice Memos" and the playlist "Voice Memos" ticked yes.
