iTunes Album Pricing

Any idea why album prices on iTunes continue to creep up? The new Eminem album released on Tuesday costs $14.99 for the basic (non-deluxe) version. The same physical CD can be bought from most big-box stores for about $9.99. The edited version of the CD has only 15 tracks and still sells for $14.99 which is more than $0.99 per song.

Sorry...this was the only place on Apple's website that seemed to offer a way to discuss what was going on with the iTunes Music Store. Incidentally, last night Apple dropped the price of the new Eminem CD to $11.99 which is more in line with other new albums on the Music Store. I wonder if there will be any complaints from people that bought the album at $14.99 on the first two days it was available.
