Wireless connection will not reconnect when SSID is hidden

I have a 24" iMAC that I recently connected to a new wireless router. The wireless router has WPA2 personal encryption and the SSID is setup not to broadcast. Each time my iMAC goes into hybernation and comes back on, it does not auto connect to this network. I have to manually goto "Other" and set it up each time.

I also have 20" iMAC which does not have this problem. Any ideas?

Same problem on my 10.5.8 macbook. My iPhone 4s connects fine automatically to the same network. I can't remember what OS upgrade caused this to happen but my macbook used to connect fine as well..
