Address bar/search bar in safari

If anyone who is reading this has ever used chrome a lot, then you would like the feature that lets you use the address bar as a search engine too, like in google chrome. Is there an extension that would let us do that?

I dont like clicking over to the google bar because i usually just use my keyboard to navigate (cmd+L) to the address bar.

I wish that this was possible — I find it so much nicer not to have to worry about which "bar" I'm typing in.

It seems that safari extension are not able to add this capability. Safari extensions are more limited than Firefox and Chrome (for better security and stability). Even SIMBL extension don't can't do this, but Glim adds keyword search, so you can type "g ponies" to search Google for "ponies".
